Doris S. Renfroe of Covington, passed away December 16, 2013, at the age of 84. She enjoyed her job, at Wal-Mart, working as a greeter; and loved to fish, cook, and going to Braves games. She had a very generous heart, was always willing to do without so that others may have what they need, and she had a special love for children. Ms. Renfroe was preceded in death by her daughters, Joyce Renfroe and Carolyn Renfroe.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Cecil and Jean Renfroe of Comer, Diane Giles of Covington, Marie Scarborough of Ellijay, Joann Payne, Wayne Renfroe, Glenn Renfroe, all of Cumming; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Ms. Renfroe will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Ricky L. Bradford, Jr., and Pastor Sammy Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, December 18, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association – Georgia Chapter, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30346.
