Mabel Bailey of Covington, passed away December 9, 2013, at the age of 91. Mrs. Bailey loved attending church; and enjoyed working in her flower garden, fellowshipping with old friends and meeting new ones, and spending time with her family during the holidays. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and cherished her time with them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Bailey; and her parents, Joseph and Berma (Colson) Thomasson.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Gaylord and Jeri Cleveland of Covington, Jesse Marvin Cleveland, Jr., of Conyers; grandchildren, Joseph and Sandra Cleveland of Loganville, Tanya and John Ray of Jacksonville, FL; great-grandchildren, Josephine Cleveland, Hunter Cleveland, Jonathan Ray, Robbie Engleman; sisters and brother-in-law, Neil Oxford of Sanford, FL, Mary and Jim Hunter of Smithtown, NY; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bailey will be held Thursday, December 12, 2013, 2:30 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, December 11, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
