Harold Evans Floyd passed away November 18, 2013 at his home in Covington. He was 81 years of age at the time of his death. Mr. Floyd served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed traveling and listening to gospel music. Mr. Floyd was a member of Voice of Pentecost. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jessie Marion (Payne) Floyd, and son, Eddie Floyd.
Survivors include his son, Billy Floyd of Covington; grandchildren, Shane and Angela Floyd, Bonnie Allen, great-grandchildren, Travis Floyd, Chris Floyd, Bodhi Allen, Michael Elias Warden, Lyric Warden, Courtney Fiddie, Jessie Floyd; sister, Mary Sue Phillips of Atlanta; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Jenny Floyd of Austell.
Funeral Services for Mr. Floyd will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Voice of Pentecost, 4648 Salem Road, in Covington, with Rev. Gavin Moon officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service, from 9:30 – 11:00 AM.
