Betty Jean "BJ" Mathis, 58, of Covington, passed away November 5, 2013. Betty Jean worked for Waffle House for more than 22 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Barney Joel Draper; and her sister, Earline Faulkner.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Tangila and Ted Bowers, Daisy and Jody Harrison, all of Acworth; son, Charles Henderson of Covington; grandchildren, Iranda, Carissa, Dixie, Cody, Teddy, Trenton, Preston, Kaylee; 4 great-grandchildren; mother, Jimmie Draper of Covington; brother, Buddy Draper; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services for Betty Jean will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013, 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Jody Harrison officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, three hours prior to the service, from 12:00 – 3:00 PM.
