Rochelee "Judy" Richardson went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 23, 2013, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born May 25, 1940 in Toccoa, Georgia. She graduated from Toccoa Falls Institute in 1958. Judy was a proud mother and grandmother and doted on her two sons and grandsons. She was a humble and kind person with a giving spirit. She attended Trinity Praise Center, in Mansfield, where she enjoyed making cookies for the youth. She loved her friends and enjoyed sharing her delicious baked goods with them all. She enjoyed planting flowers and watching them grow. She also enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at Kroger. Judy was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Richardson; parents, Hugh and Ruby Simpson; brother, Harrison Simpson.
Survivors include her sons, Wayne Richardson of Mansfield, Brian Richardson; grandsons, Zach Richardson, Jacob Richardson, all of Covington; sisters, Wanda Simpson, Theresa Simpson, Brenda Manns and her husband, Roy; brothers, Grady Simpson and his wife, Karen, Russell Simpson, all of Toccoa; sisters-in-law, Delores Simpson, also of Toccoa, Helen Beasley of Covington; brother-in-law, Billy Richardson and his wife, Theresa of Conyers; nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Richardson will be held Monday, November 25, 2013, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Rick Jackson and Pastor Tim Taylor officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, November 24, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.
