Jimmy Martin, 74, of Covington, passed away November 24, 2013. He was a devoted member of East Newton Baptist Church. Mr. Martin loved his family dearly, and cherished the time he spent with them all.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Avis Martin; children and their spouses, Brett and Darlene Martin of Mansfield, Lori and Jeremy Young of Covington; grandchildren, Brett Martin, II, Rachel Martin, Seth Martin, Megan Young, Andrew Martin, Logan Young, Jason Young; sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Billy Wilson, Pat and Jack Lazenby, all of Covington; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Martin will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2013, 11:00 AM, at East Newton Baptist Church, 11290 Highway 278, in Covington, with Rev. Tom Lee and Rev. Bill Burnett officiating, and interment following in Porterdale Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Tuesday, November 26, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.
