Obit - Tim Capes

Tim Capes of Oxford, passed away November 12, 2013, at the age of 70. Tim worked for the U.S. Postal Service, for 40 years, and made many friends during his career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and going to estate sales and classic car shows. Tim had a giving heart, and loved his family and spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Marshall and Corris (Slaughter) Capes; sister, Diane Frederick; brothers, William Harold (Billy) Capes, Gene Elwood (Pat) Capes; nieces and nephews, Christi Valentine, Diana Denney, Stephanie Marie Frederick, Timothy David Case, Stephen Marcus Frederick; aunt, Pauline Bell; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Capes; brother-in-law, Hayward Smith.

 

Survivors include his sisters and brothers-in-law, Colleen and Dwayne Jackson of Covington, Rachael and Buster Jenkins of Jackson; brother and sister-in-law, Preston and Lynn Capes of Oxford; brother-in-law, Wallace Frederick of Covington; sister-in-law, Esther Capes of Atlanta; extended family, George Valentine, Serita Capes; nieces and nephews, Rebecca Capes, Barbara and Tim Mock, Toni and Rodney Williams, Tommy Denney, Lynn Capes, Darlene and Steve Hammond, Dina and Tommy Thornton, Ampora and Daniel Ewing, Trey and Carolyn Valentine, Alan Frederick, Michael and Heather Frederick, Bryan and Karen Capes, Lori and Marty O'Kelley, Heath and Melissa Jackson, Whitney Jackson; great-nieces and great-nephews, Robby and Johnathan Case, Reannon and Trey Cool, Kayla Thornton and Andy Mays, Caitlin Ewing, Chris and Camden Valentine, Chris Williams, Jason Mock, Silina, Brandy, Travis Denney, Tiffany Cougar, Evelyn Frederick, Niki Frederick, Faith Frederick, Aaron Frederick, Ean Frederick, Camryn Frederick, Emma and _______ O'Kelley, Eli Capes, Johnathan Capes, Vinney Case, Gavin Case; several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and Tim's precious, Emily.  

 

Family will have a Celebration of Life for Mr. Capes at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in honor of Tim, to any local church or charity of your choice.
