Carol Barfield, of Covington, passed away March 14, 2014, at the age of 73. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking. She had a special place in her heart for children. Mrs. Barfield was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Barfield; sisters, Lois Allison and Leah Tucker.
Survivors include her son, Joey Billy Barfield of Newborn; sisters, Laverne, Jackie, Gloria; brothers, Bruce, Bobby, Glenn; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Barfield will be held Monday, March 17, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens, Oglethorpe, Georgia, with Rev. Lucas Allison officiating. The family will receive friends at the Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, Sunday, March 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
