Lester Gill of Porterdale, passed away March 11, 2014, at the age of 64. Lester enjoyed spending time outdoors and camping. He was a devoted father and grandfather, loved his family dearly, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tootsie (Wynn) Gill; and his brother, Jerry Robin Gill.
Survivors include his parents, Tom and Jerry Gill of Decatur; wife, Beverly Gill; daughter, Juliett Leigh Newberry; sons, Casey Gill and Jason Gill, all of Porterdale; grandchildren, Jordan Leigh Gill, Lidia Lashey Gill, Sky Heaven Gill, Corey Russell Newberry, Jr., Gavin Thomas Riccardi; sisters and brother-in-law, Shelia and James Castell of Bethlehem, Melodie Willingham of Social Circle; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Jolynn Gill of Covington; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, Saturday, March 15, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM.
