Harold Lee Stapp, Sr., 61, of Porterdale, passed away March 8, 2014, at Newton Medical Center. Mr. Stapp was a faithful member of Julia A. Porter United Methodist Church in Porterdale. He enjoyed playing softball, and will be remembered as a hard worker. Mr. Stapp was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Sara Frances (Loyd) Stapp.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Paula Stapp of Porterdale; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Clayton Mudd of Newborn; sons, Wesley Stapp, Harold “Hal” Stapp, Jr., both of Porterdale; granddaughter, Brittany Asprinwall; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Ethel Stapp of Social Circle, Clinton and Gloria Lindsey of Austell, Ray Stapp of Perry; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Dwayne Thomason; granddogs, Reese (Fido) and Bit Monster; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Stapp will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Julia A. Porter United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kelly Brisendine officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Flowers are accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Julia A. Porter United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 700, Porterdale, GA 30070.
